transport links and services
Totnes is well connected, by road and train, and there are airports nearby.
Exeter Airport. There are flights from Dublin, Paris and Amsterdam to Exeter with Flybe. Exeter Airport is about 40 minutes drive from Totnes, but does not have a reliable public transport link. There are buses at peak times to Exeter St Davids Rail Station, and you can then get a train to Totnes.
Bristol Airport. There are flights to Bristol from Dublin, Cork, and from many cities in Europe and further afield. Bristol is served by Aer Lingus, Ryanair, Easyjet and other airlines. There is a good bus service from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads Rail Station, from where there are frequent trains to Totnes.
Totnes Rail Station is on the main line from London Paddington to Penzance, and also on the East Coast Main Line from Plymouth to Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and beyond. It is just on the edge of Totnes town centre, and about a 15 minute walk from our house. There is a taxi rank outside the down train (Platform 1) exit.
Totnes is also on the National Express network of routes, with regular Route 501 coaches from London Victoria, via Heathrow Airport.
Tally Ho Coaches operate Route 164 to Harberton from Totnes. There is one bus on Saturdays that can get you there in time for our event, leaving from the centre of Totnes at 1530hrs and then stopping at Totnes Rail Station.
